How to attach your ankle strap

Step 1
Unfasten the rope attached to the Velcro of your leash and slide the loop end through the D-shaped ring on the back of your board.

2nd step
Pass the knotted end of the cord through the loop.

Step 3
Insert the end of the rope with the knot into the fold of the strap's Velcro.

Step 4
Overlap the two Velcro strips to hold the rope in position.

Trick
Transport Canada strongly recommends wearing an ankle leash while on the water. Make sure you always have one with you, as well as a life jacket or PFD (personal flotation device), a buoyant rope, a whistle and a waterproof flashlight. We wouldn't want you to get fined if you're caught not getting one.
