To determine the weight, you must consider the sum of everything your snowshoes will have to carry. This includes, but is not limited to, yourself, your clothing, your boots, your filled backpack, etc.

2. Follow the size chart

The size chart provided represents the ideal or correct total weight capacities according to the size of our 3 models of The Wild Tribe snowshoes.

3. Snow conditions

You must take into account the type of snow you will encounter during your expeditions. If you usually snowshoe on compact snow or groomed trails, you can choose a smaller pair of snowshoes for your weight compared to off-piste use in soft snow or powder that requires better flotation.

Most snowshoe frames available on the market are made of plastic. A material that becomes brittle and weak when exposed to cold, as the plastic molecule loses its elasticity. This is the main reason why we see a lot of broken frames on plastic snowshoes. The development team at The Wild Tribe™ has therefore redesigned its product to be properly adapted to the environment in which it is used by incorporating CSPE technologies into the frame.

Shipping company delivered the purchased snow shoes today

You shipped quickly but shipping company took 18 days to get to me. Package
was literally 45 mins away on day 4. It then took a trip around Nova Scotia twice, a two week tour of the Maritimes, not good. I know they are busy this time of year but ……………..I spend almost 2 hours on hold and when I got through to the Service agent, she laughed it off. The shoes are a gift so hoping they are quality.

We are sorry that the delivery took longer than expected. As mentionned our company prepared and gave the package quickly to the shipping company.
Unfortunately, shipping companies were largely impacted by the Canada Post strike combined to the busy holiday season. All shipping companies warehouse were overcharges creating large delay in handling and shipping. It is sad has we had zero control on those situation and we were impacted too on our side :( Also, we cannot be responsible for a Service Agent at the shipping company not being good on the customer service as they are not working for us..

We always try to do the best we can despite external situation but we cannot control such events..
